Not Many Shows Cause Goosebumps...
But something about this show still haunts me to this day -- I'm still not quite sure what made it quite so powerful. Maybe it was a perfect venue for the band. Maybe it was the attention they paid to every musical detail, every lighting decision, every note and a perfect set list. Whatever it was -- I spent the entire night with goose bumps on my arm watching Grizzly Bear on stage.
Now, I see a lot of live shows in Atlanta during the year -- it's kidn of an obsession. But I can say - hands down and for whatever personal reason - I've never been more impressed or moved by a band than I was that night. It still boggles my mind. Before I went into the show, I was a fan of Vecketamist. But I left that show flat out OBSESSED.
I work to Grizzly Bear. I drive in my car to Grizzly Bear. I hang out around my house with the sounds of this concert haunting me as background music. And every time I hear this particular song, I still get those goosebumps.
