The Only One
I haven't listened through our record in months. It fascinates me- the way songs can evolve on tour. After a year of touring off this album, sometimes you forget just where the songs come from. We started recording Mean Everything to Nothing during the summer of last year. Leading off, "The Only One" is both the shortest and last to be written.
Hofner
After Preproduction, we all loaded up gear and headed for Blackbird Studios in Nashville, TN. The gear at our disposal during the record was pretty mind-blowing. It allowed us to work with producer Joe Chicarelli on perfecting every individual tone on the record. While tracking "The Only One" I got the chance to play a Beatles-Era Hofner Bass.
